Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Pension Scheme launched for workers
Keeping in view the social security of the unorganized workers of the state the Labor Ministry has started the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan (PM-SYM) pension scheme.
Under this pension scheme all unorganized sector workers in the age group of 18 to 40 years whose monthly income is less than 15 thousand rupees.

For enrollment under the scheme workers in the age group of 18 to 40 will have to deposit Rs 55 to 200 as premium per month. The amount the workers will deposit as premium, the same amount will be deposited by the Government of India, Ministry of Labor.
On completion of 60 years of age the worker insured will get Rs.3,000 as pension per month.

The scheme is being operated by Life Insurance Corporation of India.
Interested workers can enroll by visiting their nearest Common Service Center to join the scheme.
The worker will have to compulsorily give his Aadhar card and bank account number at the time of enrollment.
According to the age group of the worker the first installment of premium will have to be enrolled by depositing Rs 55 to 200 in cash in the Common Service Center.read more
