Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that poor brothers and sisters, especially those who come to work as laborers, who do not get space, sleep on the pavement on the side of the road. Such people get help in Rain Basera . He said that necessary arrangements should be made to ensure that no person sleeps on the footpath. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan while directing the Collector and Commissioner Municipal Corporation said that arrangements should be made for the persons sleeping on the footpath.
There is a need to increase the facilities and space of night shelters so that more and more people can get the facility.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan took stock of the arrangements by inspecting Shahjahani Park, Hamidia Hospital Rain Basera , Railway Station, Bus Stand and Rain Basera at Budhwara tonight and discussed the facilities being provided by the Rain Basera with the people staying there. He directed to hospitalize two persons in Shahjahani Park Rain Basera as their health was not well.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to arrange one bed above the other to increase the number of beds in night shelters. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the people staying here expressed satisfaction with the facilities available. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that like previous years, this year also I have come to inquire about the well being of my labor brothers and sisters. He told that there is a blanket here, a bonfire is also burning, food is available from Deen Dayal Rasoi.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inspected the night shelter located at Char Batti Chauraha, Budhwara in Bhopal and while taking stock of the facilities, instructed to make proper arrangements for protection from cold for the laborers staying there. He met hand carts and other laborers in Budhwara and got information about their problems.
After reaching Bhopal railway station, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan sat on the footpath and inquired about their well being with the sleeping laborers and other people.
