o become completely self-reliant, farmers should utilize bank loans in a proper manner, and by doing this, the country will also progress, Syndicate Bank Executive Managing Director M Anjenaya Prasad has urged. He was iInaugurating the first completely ‘solarised’ power system on the premises of the Mayasandra Branch of the bank recently. Addressing a gathering he said with this in mind, the bank had introduced several schemes specifically for farmers. Prasad said the Mayasandra branch was the first one in the country to be totally ‘solarized’. This not only saved on power consumption but it was also the most economical option available. He said such emerging new technology should be adopted to ensure progress.
